Patrick Riley, also known as “Project” and his dog were shot dead the 23rd of December 2024 at 3:05 p.m., on Selby near Toland, very close to where he and Amelia Mustain had their RV.
News reports did not name Patrick, but several did name his dog, Cookie.

On 12/23/2024 at approximately 3:05 p.m., San Francisco Police Officers responded to the area of Selby and Toland Street in regard to a shooting.
Officers arrived on scene and located a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers rendered aid and requested paramedics to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital. Despite the lifesaving efforts of medical staff, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.

Man Charged With Murdering Another Man And His Dog

… On Monday, July 28, 2025, San Francisco prosecutors charged Jameson with possessing ammunition he had after murdering the dog, Cookie, and the dog’s owner the day prior to Christmas Eve of 2024. His next court date is scheduled for September 2025. There was supposedly a status conference for him this month, but it has been postponed.
